Peppermint Creek Theatre Launches A New Riser Campaign

WE DID IT!  AFTER MORE THAN 28 YEARS, PEPPERMINT CREEK THEATER COMPANY HAS FOUND A NEW HOME.

Beginning with our November production of The Prom by Bob Martin & Chad Bedguelin, Peppermint Creek Theatre will be performing at STAGE ONE, the newly created performance space at Sycamore Creek Church in Eastwood.

This first season at STAGE ONE will feature two huge musicals, two brand-new plays making their mid-Michigan premiere, and a season of plays as dynamic and thought-provoking as you’ve come to expect from PCTC. Our new home will boast so many elements we’ve gone without as an itinerant theatre up til now: an actual backstage area, room to store props, a proper light and sound booth, a main stage curtain, a lobby and café area, and above all – lots of space for us to create and for patrons to enjoy themselves while they attend our productions.

BUT WHAT ABOUT SEATING?

Peppermint Creek is committed to providing the best experience for our audiences in this newly renovated performance space.  STAGE ONE can provide 200 chairs for on-the-floor seating but we want to do better than that!  Our dream is to create tiered riser seating to provide the best site lines for our audience members.  Our goal is to have tiered riser seating in place by opening night of our first performance in this space. We have researched our options and have found that for $23,000 we can have tiered seating made to specifications in time for our first performance at STAGE ONE.

We realize that this is a quick push campaign to reach an important goal. But we also know that our patrons have supported us since we began producing in 1995, incorporated as a non-profit in 2003, and have followed us to over 15+ venues across Lansing as an itinerant theatre producing great work. Never before have we been able to put down roots and call a space a HOME. Until now. We know you celebrate STAGE ONE as much as we do, and we look forward to making this RISER CAMPAIGN a success, with your help.
